IN THE LAST ISSUE, Mr. Steam defies his orders and goes rogue. He and his associate Runnymeade steal the music box from the Prime Minister’s office and flee into the night. They summon their ghostly counterpart, Miss Sally, who has not only become a necessary member of the team, but a dear companion. Together the three determine they must return to Professor Dodgson and demand more answers about his dangerous mathematical codes. But Anya has beaten them to it, and kidnapped the man by force. Certain that Anya is taking Dodgson to Lord Duncan’s unknown lair, they surreptitiously follow the two on a train to a remote station, where Anya and Dodgson board an airship and take off over the ocean. The pursuit takes to the skies!

In Victorian England, Lord Percival Cawthorne, an American-born agent of the British Crown, his faithful manservant Runnymede, and Miss Sally, a ghost summoned by a music box possessed by the Home Office, must stop an elusive mastermind from unleashing Lewis Carroll’s most dangerous mathematical theories and altering the very nature of reality.
